‘Every child in our care is individual and special and we keep this at the forefront of everything we try to achieve. We only get one chance to provide children with high quality and memorable early years care and education and fun. 
We are very privileged as practitioners to work in partnership with families & parents/carers who entrust the care of their children to us and allow us to have an influence on these special years’.

La Maternelle’s Aims

• To employ professional, caring and ‘child friendly’ practitioners who are committed to developing their knowledge, skills and qualifications.

• To provide an enabling safe, welcoming, purposeful, stimulating, encouraging, homely and inclusive environment where all children feel special, confident and secure and where they are able to develop & learn.

• To provide exciting, stimulating and fun play opportunities & a provision which reflects the interests, areas of learning & development and the development needs of the children within an enabling indoor and outdoor learning environment.

• To develop within each unique child a love of learning and sense of inquiry.

• To provide and encourage environmentally friendly practices in our day to day activities.

• To allow children to have ownership of their play environment, thus promoting their independence by valuing their opinions, encouraging them to ‘have a go’ and involving them in our daily routines and decision making.

• To recognise and respect the influence and enduring contribution that families and parents/carers make to a child’s development, learning & well being.

• To establish respectful and trusting relationships with parents, other settings, outside agencies and work in partnership to nurture children to help them develop and improve outcomes for them.
